Managing Diabetes – Preparing for the Ups and Downs
Even though diabetes is a manageable disease, it does not mean that you will have sunshine all throughout your life. Accepting the fact that you have diabetes does not beginning and end with following the doctor’s advice. Make sure you're ready to take on the rollercoaster ride. Proper management of diabetes may aid regulate your blood glucose levels. However, it does not guarantee a “normal” level at all times. So, no matter how you may have kept your doctor’s instructions to heart, there would be times when your blood sugar level will become too low or too high than the common level. But of course, together with the rough patches and struggles, there are always things to look forward to as well. For one, having the disease absolutely taught you many of new things. It may also have increased your confidence and sense of maturity. And via all these experiences, a better level of courage and pride are within reach. |
